Gary Lynn's Calliopsis (Sarrazine, 2014) is a very striking flower. Bob saw this daylily on Facebook and tracked down the hybridizer. He doesn't sell anymore, but Bob convinced him to part with a couple of fans. We absolutely love this flower. It is bright gold with a large red eye and wire red edge. The eye extends across the sepals. The midribs vary from gold to a red gold blend and the throat is bright green. Its scape is 25 inches tall with a 5.5 inch flower. It blooms early season and is a dormant tetraploid with 20 buds and 4 branches. It is an early morning opener. (Fooled Me × sdlg)
