Shirley Koch is from Canadian hybridizer Reggie Morgan. It has scapes of 34 inches with 3 branches and 14 buds. It is a midseason, dormant tetraploid with 8 inch flowers of a deep purple with a large watermark above a green throat. It is classified as an unusual form spatulate. This gift to our daughter in 2018 bloomed for the first time in 2019. We are happy to have this in our garden. The plant has large showy flowers and it is quite fertile too.
