Rubies and Gold

Rubies and Gold

Rubies and Gold has the prettiest red flower with teeth that we have ever seen. The brilliant bright red color and the heavy gold edge is a standout in our garden. Like its pollen parent, it makes a rather petite plant. The scapes are an average of 31 inches with 3 branches and about 15 buds. The blooms are 5 inches It is a midseason, semi-evergreen tetraploid. The brilliant red flowers have a yellow to green throat. (Sea of Cinders × Happy Holidays to You)

We have been using Rubies and Gold in our hybridizing. Crossing it with strong growers with taller scapes, such as Wolverine or Love All Serve All, has given us the vigor and height of scape that we desire.

We were not able to line out any this fall so we won't have any available until 2027 and then it will be rather limited as it is a slow increaser.
